As massive horseracing enthusiasts, it was a pleasure for Maxilead Metals to take part in the momentous day, which saw horses compete in 6 races including the prestigious Maxilead Metals Tommy Whittle Handicap Chase.
As well as a fantastic days racing, racegoers were also impressed by the Maxilead Metals customised trucks that were on display at the course. There were also banners carrying the Maxilead name spread all over the track, from the parade ring, to the stands to the jumps themselves.
Guests were invited to a private box where a raffle and auction were held. Prizes included Tom Queally signed breeches, worn when winning on Frankel, an A P McCoy signed Autobiography and a host of signed sports memorabilia including signed shirts from Liverpool FC, Warrington Wolves, Wigan Warriors and an England Cricket bat. On the day we made an outstanding £4285.00 which we then split between our chosen charities, Alderhey Children’s Hospital Imagine Appeal, Racing Welfare and the Injured Jockeys Fund.
Thanks to Karen, Hannah, Dickin, The Whittles and everyone else at Haydock for making the day run so smoothly.
We would also like to thank everyone for coming to what was a great day and for there generosity in raising lots of money for some worthy causes.
