Maxilead Metals are celebrating after agreeing to be a shirt sponsor for Super League giants Warrington Wolves for a fifth successive year. Our logo will appear on the back of Warrington’s playing shirts in every Super League and Challenge Cup fixture during 2016.
Maxilead first teamed with the Wolves ahead of the 2012 campaign and have been on the famous primrose and blue shirt ever since. We were there when Brett Hodgson inspired the Wolves to their third Challenge Cup win in four years, beating Leeds at Wembley in a magical day four years ago. And we were there for the two Grand Final defeats at Old Trafford in 2012 and 2013.
Now we’re hoping to watch Tony Smith’s men finally get their hands on the Super League trophy later this year.
Maxilead Metals chairman Peter Clay said:
“We’re proud to be associated with the Warrington Wolves and we’ll be cheering them on during every game of 2016. And with new signings like Joe Westerman and Kurt Gidley, it looks like being an exciting year ahead. Our passion for the Wolves has grown since the sponsorship started and we’re pleased to continue our support.”
Based at the Halliwell Jones Stadium, Warrington are the only rugby league club to have played every year in the sport’s top flight since its birth in 1895.
The Wolves are also a strong supporter of their local community, delivering a range of programmes designed to promote healthy lifestyles and encourage young talent within the town.
We’re delighted to support Warrington both on the field and in their efforts away from the pitch.
